Here, in this slant of light, androgynous shepherdesses play and work to the sounds of a Pan flute. This lithograph was bought in the gift shop of the Louvre Museum in about 1960 by my graduate school roommate, Marty, the Jewish doctor. His wife kicked him out, along with his queer possessions, like this print.
